With the cost of living constantly on the rise, it has never been more important for us to sustain our possessions.

Whether you own a road, off-road, commuter or leisure bicycle, I aim to offer a flexible service at a time, place and budget tailored to your needs. 

On occasion, it may be necessary for the bike to be taken to my workshop, so the conditions are suitable for the work to be carried out.

 I am not currently taking appointments for Electric, Tandem or Cargo bikes.

Hi, I’m Tom, a local friendly, qualified bicycle mechanic with more than a decade of industry experience working with quality bicycle brands.

And I LOVE BIKES!

In my opinion, nothing comes close to a bicycle when you need a 'tonic' for your wellbeing (mentally & physically), as well as being THE best solution for getting about locally, both in terms of your time and money.

I founded Master of Pedals in 2025 with the sole purpose of providing an alternative bicycle repair service to the traditional bicycle repair shop offering, for busy families and professionals alike. Who require the convenience, but still desire a service that delivers high-quality, affordable bicycle servicing and repairs.

I look forward to serving the cycle communities in and around the Bedford area, so that all cyclists can get the most enjoyment out of their bikes!

This level of service is intended to provide peace of mind that everything is in safe working order.

 This service includes: - A full check over and diagnosis of the bike - Brake adjustment - Gear adjustment - Ensuring all bolts are safely tightened - Bearings checked for play - Tyres inflated - Chain lubricated.

(0.5 hour to 1 hour labour charge. Including call out fee, but excluding parts).

This service is more in-depth than the Safety check and ideal for those who use their bike more regularly.

This service includes: - All features of a Safety check - Drivetrain removed, degreased and reinstalled - Fresh lubricant applied to chain - Headset bearings inspected, cleaned and regreased - Wheels trued (if required) - New inner cables installed (where suitable) - New outer cables installed (where suitable).

(1.5 hour to 2 hour labour charge. Including call out fee, but excluding parts).

NOTE: this service is a collection and drop off service rather than an on site service like the Safety Check.

This covers bicycles that have been heavily used or neglected.

A full strip down, clean and rebuild of your bicycle.

This service includes: - All features of a General service - Full bike wash - Bike stripped down to the frame - All components reinstalled with fresh grease - Front and rear hubs serviced (if needed) - Bottom bracket service (where suitable) - Brake bleed (if needed).

£169

(3 hour to 4 hour labour charge. Including call out fee, but excluding parts).
